TRANSFER STATION & LANDFILL
Power County Transfer Station and Landfill will have a no fee day on May 13th Saturday for RESIDENTIAL YARD WASTE ONLY to consist of tree trimmings, grass and leaves. No trash in loads please. All loads must be secured and brought to American Falls Transfer Station. Please call the Transfer Station at 208-226-1129

Power County Ordinance 4-2-14: Transporting Garbage in Covered Vehicles:
No person shall be permitted to transport garbage, refuse, rubbish and ashes over the streets and highways of the county in anything other than secured or covered vehicles. Violation of this section shall be a misdemeanor. (Ord. 95-01, 3-13-1995; amd. 1998 Code)
This ordinance will be strictly enforced beginning January 1, 2016.

Hours: Tuesday thru Saturday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Closed Sundays, Mondays, and Holidays.
Big Sky Transfer Site HOURS
North on Truckerville Road, just before Siphon Road.
Hours: Tuesday – 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. Thursday – 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Saturday – 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Rockland Transfer Site HOURS
Hours: Tuesday – 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Thursday – 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Saturday – 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Arbon Valley
Located south on the Arbon Valley Highway.
This is an unmanned site.
The Rockland and Big Sky sites are also accepting metal as recyclable material. This includes stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, air conditioners, pots and pans, electric motors and almost anything with metal content. Batteries are also accepted. Televisions and CRT monitors are not accepted as metal. If you have any questions please ask the attendant.
All of the Power County sites do not accept out of county garbage. Power County residents are asked to help enforce this policy.

Cost and Materials Information
The Power County Landfill is actually a Transfer Station with a Construction/Demolition (C&D) pit. We also have a brush pile/grass pile and a metal pile.
Ordinance #2022-01 Landfill Fees
We take refrigerators and batteries at no charge. We also take used motor oil and anti-freeze in household amounts. Please help us keep recyclable items out of the MSW stream and be willing to separate your loads.
Power County also grinds the brush pile and we sell that end product for $1.00 a yard, loaded.
